1. Service scope
Services are provided based on the information and device condition available at the time of assessment. A consultation or diagnosis does not guarantee that data can be recovered. Scope, estimated timing, and applicable charges should be agreed before recovery work proceeds.
2. Customer authorization
By providing a device, storage system, credentials, or data for assessment, you confirm that you are the owner or have lawful authority to request the work. You authorize the technical steps reasonably required for the agreed service.
3. Existing risk and backups
Data recovery involves media that may already be damaged, unstable, corrupted, or inaccessible. While care is taken, further deterioration can occur. Customers should retain any available backups and disclose previous recovery attempts or physical damage.
4. Confidentiality
Information accessed during an engagement is handled for the purpose of assessment, recovery, verification, and delivery. Any specific confidentiality requirements should be discussed before service begins.
5. Estimates, payment, and delivery
Any estimate is based on the initial information and may change if the device condition or scope differs. Payment and delivery arrangements will be communicated for the specific engagement. Recovered data should be verified promptly after delivery.
6. Third-party systems
Cloud platforms, encryption products, hardware manufacturers, couriers, and other third-party services operate under their own terms. Stener Data Recovery is not responsible for their availability, policies, or independent actions.
7. Limitation and review
To the extent permitted by applicable law, responsibility is limited to the agreed service. These general website terms may be updated as services evolve. For engagement-specific questions, contact us before authorizing work.
